At the heart of this heavy-duty 50-tonne excavator is a reliable Stage V FPT Cursor 13 engine, producing 296 kW (397 hp). The advanced emissions system utilises SCR-only technology, eliminating DPF regeneration and reducing downtime. This powerful engine works in harmony with the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS) to provide smooth, responsive and fuel-efficient performance, even under sustained heavy load. The Mass Excavation (ME) configuration includes reinforced boom and arm structures for extreme digging forces and enhanced durability.
The CX500D ME offers some of the highest breakout forces in its class, with heavy-duty attachments and optimised hydraulic flow enabling faster cycle times and maximum bucket penetration. The strengthened undercarriage, heavy-duty track components and high-grade steel structures are designed to operate reliably in abrasive quarry environments and demanding bulk earthmoving conditions.
Operator comfort and visibility are prioritised inside the spacious cab. The suspended seat, reduced vibration levels, improved HVAC and low internal noise help maintain operator focus over long working days. The large touchscreen monitor provides quick access to machine settings, cameras, fuel data, diagnostics and CASE SiteConnect telematics. Wide glazing, slim pillars and standard rear and side-view cameras ensure excellent visibility around the machine, supporting safe operation on busy job sites.
