Voluntary Statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
HRN is committed to conducting business responsibly, with integrity and respect for the rights of individuals. While not currently required to publish a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we recognise the importance of taking proactive steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms.
-
Our Business and Supply Chain
HRN is a leading supplier of agricultural, construction and groundcare, machinery in the UK. We operate across multiple sites and work with a range of suppliers both domestically and internationally. Our supply chain includes manufacturers, logistics providers, and service partners.
-
Our Policy on Modern Slavery
Our Modern Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to upholding human rights ensuring that ethical practices are followed throughout our operations and supply chains.
This policy is communicated internally and is available to all employees and partners. We expect our suppliers, contractors, and other business partners to uphold the same high standards.
-
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We are in the process of developing formal risk assessment and due diligence procedures to:
- Identify potential risk areas in our supply chain.
- Monitor and reduce the likelihood of unethical labour practices.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of and adhere to our standards.
We are also exploring the introduction of a supplier questionnaire or compliance statement as part of this due diligence process.
-
Supplier Expectations
We expect all suppliers to:
- Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
- Operate ethically and transparently.
- Notify HRN immediately if they become aware of any actual or suspected instance of modern slavery in their operations or supply chain.
We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including termination of contracts, where breaches are identified.
-
Training and Awareness
We understand that aspects of the agricultural, construction and groundcare sectors and associate supply chains can present a higher risk of modern slavery, particularly where international manufacturing or contract labour is involved. While HRN is not directly involved in these practices, we remain committed to raising awareness and monitoring potential risks within our supply network.
-
Reporting and Whistleblowing
We promote a culture of openness and encourage employees to report concerns related to modern slavery without fear of retaliation. Our Whistleblowing Policy ensures that individuals raising concerns in good faith are supported and protected.
-
Review and Governance
This statement has been reviewed and approved by HRN’s Senior Leadership Team. It will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant and reflects the steps we are taking to address modern slavery risks.
